Are you ready to run away with me?
Okay sure, allow me to introduce myself first… as the late Cilla Black would say, what’s your name and where do you come from? Well, my name’s Charlie and I’m from Bristol! *cue the applause*
I’m a 90s baby who lives and works full-time in Bristol, UK as a Marketing Manager. I’m not a digital nomad and I don’t aspire to be, but I do love travelling and hope to redefine what travelling is.
So if you’re like me and want to travel more whilst maintaining a career and basic adulting, follow along for travel tips, advice, inspiration and more.
Browse through the collection of blog posts or skip to the destination for information on road trips, day trips, city breaks, and the occasional long-haul flight.
So who is this blog for?
Digital nomadery is an attractive offer – I can see the allure – but what about those of us who love to travel, but equally love having a fixed location? I can’t be the only aspiring home bird travel-blogger!
So while on the surface The Millennial Runaway appears as not-another-travel-blog, my underlying objectives delves a little deeper than that. My mission here is to encourage my fellow millennial peers to stick the middle finger up to societal pressures and travel by whatever means necessary.
I hope that in recounting my experiences I will encourage others who work full-time to travel, and not be overcome with social pressures and media trends.
